50,000 protesters marched through London under the slogan ‘No More Austerity’ on Saturday 21st June.

The demonstration was the largest protest to date called by The People’s Assembly demanding an end to austerity and public sector spending cuts.

Numbers attending exceeded even organisers’ expectations as Parliament Square was packed to overflowing for a closing rally.

Speakers at the rally included Len McCluskey, Owen Jones and MPs Diane Abbott, Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell.

The demonstration builds momentum for the 18th October TUC ‘Britain Needs a Pay Rise’ demonstration.
